I'm really sorry that I haven't been writing for the last couple weeks but I'd really like to share just a quick thought with everyone before I have to go. This week I was listening to the Mormon Tabernacle choir to the song love one another. The lyrics go: As I have loved you love one another This new commandment love one another By this shall men know ye are my disciples If ye have love one to another The part that really sit out to me that I haven't noticed before is the last part. When we love one another that's when people realize that we are disciples of Christ. As a love and serve and care about those around us where emulating Christ example. And I've really noticed that in my mission that as I love, even those that I can't really talk to you because of the language barrier, that I can really show them that I am a disciple of Christ and that I really want the best for their life. I told you all that Claudia I was going to get baptized on the 27th but she wasn't quite ready for that day but it's a miracle in and of itself. Now we are working with her husband and we're teaching them as a family so we are so grateful that even though it wasn't in our timing the Lord's timing is a lot better. The reason that I haven't been writing very often on P-day, last week we went to Costco and this week we went shopping. I've just been spending a lot of time with the other missionaries and using money to help my stress levels ha ha. Today I went shopping with Bybee Shimai and Sanchez Shimai and there's a picture below that you can look at. This Saturday is transfer calls so next Monday I will tell you all if I am moving and if I am getting a new companion. Lately we've also had a lot of conferences. President Whiting, and we had a conference from President Wada too. Sorry my English is not very good. Also I got the package thanks mom but it had Nutella in it and that has milk in it right? Can you eat Nutella mom? I hit my six months mark too! Just pushing it hard until I go home. I'm so grateful for all the support from all of you and for the support from all the missionaries here and for the support from President and Sister Wada! Love Sister Fordiani
Hahahaha!!! Hi mom! I'm teaching in a Spanish lesson but I am not speaking any Spanish besides like hola and claudo haha! I use my Japanese to find people still don't worry! It's hard to adjust to another language. But I adore all of my Spanish speaking investigators! And they are all doing so well! I'm so happy! The apartment video is a little too big so I don't think I can send it. I'm sorry. I can't wait to try the waffle truck when I get home! What do you buy that you can eat mom? Haha I can't wait to see those pictures of high school haha! Weird! Hahaha I was cracking up that you do the boys hair every morning! 😂 I wish you were here to cut my hair haha Japan is the worst on my hair! In the pictures you send of the boys they look so good! They are cuties! I saw on Facebook that Moka got out of the backyard and then you found her so that's good! I saw that Megan was doing yoga and I wanna try it too when I am home! Mom I think it'll be so good for you and make you happier! I can't wait to hear how it goes! Claudia won't get baptized this Saturday but we have faith she can get baptized next month. I love you! Heading to Costco! Love Anna
Happy Valentine's Day! Shoot that stinks that Anthony didn't make it! What the heck! How's his guitar stuff going? Hahaha that's so funny they got lost in Provo! That's so cute. I'm glad they went to go visit Olivia! Her job sounds so cool! I'm jealous! Science stuff rocks! I miss everyone a lot. It sounds like everyone is doing good and I can't wait to see everyone again. Haha Moka got spayed? That's good! I want a Dalmatian dog when I get home. I see them sometimes here in Japan and they look so cool! I can't wait to see the pictures from spring break! That's still in April right haha? I'm so happy Danny had a good birthday with his friends and that he has friends! God answers prayers! I know he does! I can wait to meet them! My investigators date for baptism is on the 27 th. The majority of my lessons are in Spanish now but I don't speak Spanish. My comp translates for me haha. I guess I could learn it though. I am coming home the 19th. They gave us an option for the 15th of July too but I prayed about it and felt like I need to stay. Then I started crying because I'm really scared to get home with only two days. But I have faith that it'll work out in gods hands. I went shopping today and bought this hat for 10.00, the skirt for 20.00 and the shirt for 5.00! Oh yeah! The regular prices were 30 for the hat, 50 for the skirt, and 50 for the sweater!
What's good paps!? Hi mommy! Guess what! I come home in six months!? Holy cow crazy! How's everything at home? Today is temple day and I'm going to the temple right now so gotta make this short. It's early and I'm tired!
This week has been the best! My new companion and I are getting along a lot better.
Okay and we had a mission conference with President Whiting on my one year date! Anyway this week I found my faith! The conference was all about faith! So I realized that I needed to put more faith in the lord and be more bold and loving! Satan knocks down our faith when people say, "Oh in that mission you don't baptize because it's not South America..." or "We don't baptize in this area because the people are too mean..." So we challenged the Lord to build our faith by inviting Claudia to get baptized and she said yes!!! 😆 she is getting baptized on February 27th! The next day we went back and knelt with her two daughters, husband, and the elders and we blessed their home 😊 it was the first time we met Carlos her husband, but he was super friendly! And we are hoping that we can teach them as a family. Right now we are focusing on Claudia and her daughter who is 9 so they can be baptized together. Then her other daughter can be baptized when she turns 8!
This week we had transfers and I've never been busier with the work! We have 5 investigators three of who speak Spanish! So my new companion is Sister Hernández from Mexico City, Mexico. She's only transfer two so she's brand new. I'm following up training her! It's a big job and stressful haha. She is 31 years old which makes my position kinda awkward being her trainer and all, but she has a great laugh and singing voice. She sings in our home in Spanish and it's so beautiful. I'm picking up some Spanish too haha. I know rojo, Es spiritu santo, oricon, rapido, and claudo! (Haha enjoy my friends who are out on Spanish speaking missions!) 😂😉
God's timing is incredible and I've just been blown outta my mind lately! One of our new investigators named Claudia we found with god's timing. When Wallace Shimai and I were still together, earlier, on the day we met her, we had bumped into the elders and they gave us her address as a referral. We knew she spoke Spanish so we weren't going to go to her house until we had a sister who spoke Spanish with us. We went to find a referral named Vanessa instead but as we were going there I felt like we shouldn't. So we were in the same neighborhood as the elder's referral so we decided that we can go and speak as much Spanish as we know and see if they're interested. So we pinged the door bell and someone said hello? We said we are missionaries and she said, sorry because their family is Catholic. So I kinda paused because I didn't know how to respond back in Spanish so I just said, we have a message about Jesus Christ. And Claudia came out! She knew a tiny bit of Japanese so we were able to teach her the first lesson right here and two days later we went back and bright her a Spanish Book of Mormon. She promised to read the entire thing! When we went back the third time, we had to go on splits with someone who spoke Spanish so I wasn't there for this part: they went back and answered claudia's questions and at the end of the lesson Wallace Shimai bore her testimony and Castañeda Shimai translated it. When she did Claudia started to cry. She told us that when we had ringed her doorbell the first day we met her she was really sad and was having the hardest day. So she knelt down in prayer for the first time in a long time and asked God to send someone to help her, and at that exact moment we rang her doorbell. She said that when we said we have a message about Jesus Christ she knew God sent us. And because we were so happy and confident when we shared our message even though she couldn't understand us really, she knew that this is what she needs in her life! The spirit guided us to her home so we could be there at the exact time she needed us!
I'm so grateful for god's timing and for the many timely placed trials in my life that I have been able to learn from. This is god's work and it will go forth. "For, verily, the sound must go forth from this place into all the world, and unto the uttermost parts of the earth--the gospel must be preached unto every creature, with signs following them that believe. And behold the Son of Man cometh. Amen."
Love Sister Fordiani On the bus ride home from splits! So tired! Us with our new investigator Junko San! She had her birthday this week! Me and Keo at lunch! Us and Claudia💕 Smashing mochi at the ward party!
I'm so grateful too because this week I'll be out 1 YEAR! My mission is almost over yo!
